Reality-Expanding
Human-Machine Interaction
Using digital technologies human individuals and their interaction with such machines is expanding the reality of daily life both at home and at work. One can ask, for example, an artificial intelligence in the form of a digital virtual human for advice almost anytime and anywhere. This reality-expanding type of human-machine interaction can be both useful and harmful. My current research and teaching activities are therefore focused on the potentials and risks of such reality-expanding human-machine interaction for competent human behavior and its learning.
